Bills Likely to Finish Third in AFC East

The Bills are likely to finish third in the AFC East.  Despite having a new head coach and general manager, the team will be outplayed by New England and Miami.  Tyrod Taylor is at best a caretaker who will part company after the season. With 2 first round picks in next year’s draft, the Bills may finally find a franchise quarterback.  IT WILL BE MORE OF THE SAME UNTIL THE QB PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.  MEANWHILE FANS CAN AT BEST LOOK FOR ENTERTAINING, COMPETITIVE PLAY.  RESIGNED BUT EVER HOPEFUL, WE RALLY AS  1BUFFALO.

Bills guard Richie Incognito predicts Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will play for several more seasons.  Speaking on Undisputed, Incognito cites Brady’s nutrition and workout regimen as key to his peak performance.  Brady is in better shape than players 10 – 15 years younger.  Brady has been the bane of the Bills existence for a long time.  His record is 26 – 3 against the Bills.  A HEALTHY BRADY IS CENTRAL TO NEW ENGLAND’S CONTINUED DOMINATION OF THE AFC EAST.  INCOGNITO BEGRUDGINGLY RESPECTS BRADY IN THEIR LOVE – HATE RELATIONSHIP.  SIMILARLY TORN BOTH WAYS, THE FAITHFUL REMAIN 1BUFFALO.

Bills training camp opens in 3 weeks on July 27th.  A new regime will debut, headed by coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane.  All eyes will be on Tyrod Taylor as he regains traction as the starting quarterback.  There will be spirited competition among the backups, as Cardale Jones, TJ Yates, and Nathan Peterman vie for the 2 available berths.  Rick Dennison will launch his new offense built around Sammy Watkins and LeSean McCoy.  THE FAITHFUL ARE HOPING IT ALL COMES TOGETHER.  THE BILLS FACE AN UPHILL BATTLE, GIVEN THE PRIMACY OF NEW ENGLAND AND RESURGENCE OF MIAMI IN THE AFC EAST.  LOOKING FOR A GOOD TRAINING CAMP, WE UNITE AS 1BUFFALO.

Happy Fourth of July to all our readers.  Today we celebrate our independence and what makes this country great.  Professional sports are an important element of our national identity.  Buffalo is  a diehard sports town.  The Bills, Sabres, and minor league Bisons enrich our lives and community.  HATS OFF TO TERRY AND KIM PEGULA AND BOB RICH FOR THEIR LEADERSHIP.  WE ARE GRATEFUL TO THEM FOR KEEPING THE TEAMS LOCALLY.  THEIR VISION MAKES THIS A TRULY GLORIOUS FOURTH.   UNITING IN PATRIOTISM AND LOVE OF THE GAME, WE ARE ALL 1BUFFALO.

The Las Vegas oddsmakers pair the Patriots and Cowboys in the Super Bowl.  Golden Nugget casino puts them at 7 – 1.  The line on a rematch of Patriots and Falcons is 10 – 1.  The Bills are way down in the pack.  The odds of Buffalo appearing in the championship game range from 400 to 1,000 – 1 depending on the pairing.  THE ODDSMAKERS SEE LITTLE CHANCE OF BUFFALO BREAKING THE PLAYOFF DROUGHT ANY TIME SOON.  DIVISION RIVAL NEW ENGLAND IS LIKELY TO AGAIN DOMINATE THE AFC EAST. ACCEPTING THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION, WE ARE RESIGNED AS 1BUFFALO.

Las Vegas oddsmaker Bovada.lv pegs LeSean McCoy at 100/1 to win Most Valuable Player. He has the 12th best chance among NFL players of winning the coveted honor.  McCoy is the only Bills player to make the top 100 favorites for MVP.  Last year he had a standout season, rushing for 1,267 yards and 13 touchdowns.  He also had 356 receiving yards for an additional touchdown.  McCOY IS THE HEART  OF THE BILLS OFFENSE.  HE IS LIKELY TO HAVE EVEN MORE RECEPTIONS UNDER NEW OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR RICK DENNISON.  EXPECTING A PRO BOWL SEASON FROM OUR BEST RUNNING BACK, WE SHOW SUPPORT AS 1BUFFALO.

Jim Kelly has praised Sean McDermott’s discipline.  Speaking at his annual football camp, the Hall of Famer lauded the new head coach’s emphasis on fundamentals.  This is in stark contrast to Rex Ryan’s lack of discipline on the field and in the locker room.  Gone are the pool table and video games.  McDermott is a disciplinarian who is enforcing the rules. THE FAITHFUL ARE ENCOURAGED BY HIS NO-NONSENSE APPROACH.  WHETHER THIS TRANSLATES INTO MORE WINS REMAINS TO BE SEEN.  HEARTENED BY THE ORDER HE HAS REINTRODUCED, WE COME TOGETHER AS 1BUFFALO.

Sean McDermott terms the Bills to be playoff calibre.  Unlike his predecessor Rex Ryan he is not promising a playoff berth just yet.  He does feel the team has the potential to end the 17 year playoff drought.  This hinges upon improved play from quarterback Tyrod Taylor and keeping Sammy Watkins healthy.  THE LONG-SUFFERING BILLS FANS DESERVE A TEAM THAT IS AT LEAST COMPETITIVE.  THE POTENTIAL IS THERE, PROVIDED THE FRONT OFFICE DYSFUNCTION IS OVER.  ANXIOUS TO SEE HOW IT PLAYS OUT UNDER THE NEW COACH, WE ARE ALL 1BUFFALO.

Stadium police rescued a man from a ravine adjoining New Era Field.  The victim, 59-year-old John Nietopski, had been driving an all terrain vehicle when it fell down an embankment.  The incident occurred near Smokes Creek, located between the stadium and California Road in Orchard Park.  It is the same area where a young man drowned after being evicted from the Miami game a few years back.  FAST ACTING BILLS SECURITY SAVED NIETOPSKI’S LIFE.  THEIR PROFESSIONALISM AVERTED TRAGEDY.  GRATEFUL TO THE FIRST RESPONDERS, WE ARE RELIEVED AS 1BUFFALO.

The Bills roster has been ranked 27th in the league by Pro Football Focus.   The best ranking was given to offensive lineman Richie Incognito.  He was followed by quarterback Tyrod Taylor.   PFF expects free agent fullback Patrick DiMarco to contribute to the rushing game.  The defense received failing marks, especially Shaq Lawson and Preston Brown.  PPF PUTS THE BILLS ROSTER IN THE CELLAR OF THE NFL.  A TEAM CAN NOT WIN WITHOUT STRONG INDIVIDUAL TALENT.  THE CLUB COMES UP SHORT.  LOOKING FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN THE RANKINGS AS THE SEASON UNFOLDS, WE COME TOGETHER AS 1BUFFALO.
