Bills Great Ben Williams Dead at 65

Bills great Ben Williams is dead at age 65. The defensive end was drafted in the third round in 1976 and played 10 seasons with the Bills. He was a graduate of Ole Miss where he broke the racial barrier, being the first African American on the football squad. WILLIAMS IS REMEMBERED FOR HAVING MENTORED BRUCE SMITH. AFTER RETIRING FROM THE GAME HE RETURNED TO MISSISSIPPI WHERE HE WAS A CIVIC LEADER AND BUSINESSMAN. HONORING OUR BELOVED FRIEND FOR ALL HE ACHIEVED, WE EXTEND SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AS 1BUFFALO.
