Bills Release Jonathan Williams

The Bills released running back Jonathan Williams yesterday.  He was expected to play backup to LeSean McCoy after the departure of Mike Gillislee for the Patriots.  Drafted by the Bills last year, Williams saw action in 11 games, running for 94 yards and a touchdown.  Also waived were linebacker Gerald Hodges and wide receiver Philly Brown.  3 players were picked up on waivers – tight end Khari Lee, tackle Conor McDermott, and linebacker Deon Lacey.  THE COACHING STAFF CONTINUES TO AMAZE AND CONFOUND WITH THEIR PERSONNEL MOVES.  WILLIAMS HAD A STANDOUT PERFORMANCE LAST WEEK AGAINST THE LIONS, RUSHING 10 TIMES FOR 53 YARDS. HE HAD A PROMISING FUTURE WITH THE TEAM.  DISMAYED BY THE DYSFUNCTION GRIPPING ONE BILLS DRIVE, WE SHAKE OUR HEADS AS 1BUFFALO.
